The six-song project features a new standout track, “mean!,” which is joined by a live performance video now on YouTube [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbXUCvfKx8M), and embodies a sound that is ethereal yet grounded, blending a 2000s hippie revival spirit with modern alt-pop sensibility. > “I wrote ‘mean!’ at a time when I was learning how to speak up for myself,” says Macy Todd. “Growing up, I always felt like saying what I really thought came with a consequence. I think most women can relate to that feeling. I wanted this song to feel light while carrying something so heavy, and I think it does exactly that.” ![Macy Todd (Photo: Sophia Matinazad)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/65a3048ccef61ea07d403e99/6a51406d8352e3a835d296b2_vcsPRAsset_3371073_153401_e97d8f36-3165-4cfd-ba33-c7d120b2cc2a_0.jpeg) *Macy Todd (Photo: Sophia Matinazad)* Produced by Jon Joseph (Sublime, Børns, illuminati hotties), *pretty ruthless* also includes deeply personal tracks such as “love of my life,” “bad bad love,” “someone to you,” and the contemplative “so ruthless,” the latter joined by an official music video streaming [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJXFt1TwhHo). The EP release marks a new chapter for Todd, kicking off her official partnership with Atlantic Outpost. > “There are moments that make everything feel real, and signing with Atlantic Outpost was one of them,” she shares. “I’m incredibly grateful to have a team that believes in me and these songs as much as I do. It feels like such a special time to be part of what Outpost is building, and I’m so excited for what’s ahead. The day I signed, my dad surprised me with Roberta Flack’s *First Take* and *Killing Me Softly* on vinyl. We used to listen to those records together when I was growing up, and I remember seeing the Atlantic logo on those albums long before I ever imagined my name would be connected to it. It was one of those full-circle moments I’ll never forget. I grew up admiring so many of the artists who helped shape Atlantic’s legacy, and getting to be a small part of that story is something I’ll never take for granted.” Macy will further celebrate the arrival of *pretty ruthless* with her biggest North American live schedule thus far, supporting fellow Atlantic Outpost recording artist Willow Avalon’s “The Pink Pocket Pistol Tour” beginning September 8 at Atlanta, GA’s Terminal West. Highlights include eagerly awaited stops at venues Carrboro, NC’s Cat’s Cradle (September 9), Washington, DC’s 9:30 Club (September 12), Montreal, QC’s Théâtre Beanfield (September 17), and New York City’s historic Webster Hall (September 20). This upcoming run follows a wave of live momentum for the Lawrenceville, GA native, who recently captivated audiences across the US supporting social media star Zinadelphia at iconic venues, including Nashville, TN’s Exit/In, Washington, DC’s The Atlantis, New York City’s Bowery Ballroom, and Philadelphia, PA’s Theatre of Living Arts. The rising artist also turned heads during CMA Fest 2026 with a standout Whiskey Jam performance, which featured a surprise collaboration on her fan-favorite track “pocket change” with country superstar Avery Anna. Blending the timeless emotional depth of Patsy Cline with a Sheryl Crow-esque Americana sensibility, Todd’s knack for intimate storytelling and plainspoken lyricism has rapidly built a dedicated social media following, setting the perfect stage for her highly anticipated headlining and support dates this fall. **Macy Todd — On Tour 2026** *All dates w/ Willow Avalon Presents “The Pink Pocket Pistol Tour”* **September** 8 - Atlanta, GA - Terminal West 9 - Carrboro, NC - Cat’s Cradle 11 - Richmond, VA - The Broadberry 12 - Washington, DC - 9:30 Club 14 - Pittsburgh, PA - Thunderbird Music Hall 16 - Toronto, ON - Phoenix Theatre 17 - Montreal, QC - Théâtre Beanfield 18 - Boston, MA - Royale 20 - New York, NY - Webster Hall 22 - Philadelphia, PA - The Foundry ***pretty ruthless* Tracklist** (Atlantic Outpost) 1. mean! 2. so ruthless 3. bad bad love 4. someone to you 5. something pretty 6. love of my life **Connect with Macy Todd:** [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/macytoddd) | [TikTok](https://www.tiktok.com/@macytoddd) | [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/@macytoddd) ## About ## Media contact ## More from Atlantic Records ![Good Charlotte – We Are Done (Live from the Motel Du Cap Tour)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/65a3048ccef61ea07d403e99/6a637e2ad4c7db32e77b6e82_vcsPRAsset_3371073_153669_23931253-195d-40c0-b902-164fbf4328fc_0.png) ### Multi-Platinum Rock Superstars Good Charlotte Release “We Are Done (Live from the Motel Du Cap Tour)” Good Charlotte release “We Are Done (Live from the Motel Du Cap Tour)” as their North American tour with Avenged Sevenfold kicks off. ![The Lost Boys – Original Broadway Cast Recording](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/65a3048ccef61ea07d403e99/6a637ddf166e0f6ac8a0094f_vcsPRAsset_3371073_153654_0ac9758b-f0a4-4503-a176-4e37d51db9bf_0.png) ### Atlantic Records Releases Original Broadway Cast Album for Four-Time Tony Award Winning Musical THE LOST BOYS Atlantic Records releases The Lost Boys (Original Broadway Cast Recording), the official album of the four-time Tony Award-winning Broadway musical. ![The War And Treaty – Tiny Desk Concert](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/65a3048ccef61ea07d403e99/6a63800bb041a6277a63c440_vcsPRAsset_3371073_153652_fe22869e-925d-4c5f-9417-9766f77dca0d_0.jpeg) ### The War And Treaty Unveil Tiny Desk Concert The War And Treaty unveil their NPR Tiny Desk Concert, performing favorites and highlights from new album The Story of Michael and Tanya, out now. ![Radio Free Alice – Kick in the Shins](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/65a3048ccef61ea07d403e99/6a637ffd364967d80eddd20f_vcsPRAsset_3371073_153634_2fb16b1f-5dec-45d9-b917-6433d5bbb0fd_0.jpeg) ### Radio Free Alice Tirelessly Grin and Bear It on New Single “Kick in the Shins” Australian post-punk band Radio Free Alice share new single “Kick in the Shins,” produced by Ewan Pearson and Peter Katis, amid a massive festival run. ## For journalists Published via MusicWire — [send yours](https://app.musicwire.popfiltr.com/signup?next=%2Freleases%2Fcreate)
