Marquise Fair Shares Heartfelt New Single 'Nature of Love' Out 24th July 2025
Miami-born soul-pop visionary Marquise Fair returns with his deeply moving new single 'Nature of Love', a stirring anthem that celebrates the unconditional bonds that define human existence. Released on 24th July, the track serves as the latest glimpse into his highly anticipated debut album 'Better World', set for release on 3rd September.
Following the success of his summer anthem 'I Dream' (released 15th May), which offered a soulful celebration of unity and hope, 'Nature of Love' finds Marquise exploring the very essence of what connects us all. The song showcases his ability to weave together jazz, soul, pop, folk, and world music influences into something entirely his own - a sound that will resonate with fans of Fela Kuti, Nitin Sawhney, and Damian Marley.
"The essence of life and human existence itself, is love," explains Marquise. "The kind of love a parent has for a child or a family member. Unconditional, unwavering and permanent. That's what this song is about."
The track arrives as a powerful statement of Marquise's artistic vision - music as an antidote to our current state of affairs, offering hope, kindness, and positivity when the world needs it most. His rich, genre-crossing sound provides the perfect vehicle for messages of unity and resilience.
'Nature of Love' is taken from 'Better World', an album that represents a remarkable creative journey spanning continents and cultures. The project features collaborations with some of music's most acclaimed artists, including Jason Lindner (David Bowie's Blackstar, Meshell Ndegeocello, Lauryn Hill), Yosvany Terry, and Jacques Schwarz-Bart (D'Angelo's Voodoo, Erykah Badu).
"I recorded several demos that would become the basis of my second album in Switzerland," Marquise reflects. "Inspired by Miami's cultural richness and Swiss landscapes, I crafted a unique sound, blending the warm rhythms of my hometown with modern and innovative arrangements. With Better World, I brought together musicians from around the world, recording from their home studios during the pandemic. It was such a privilege and honour working with Jason Lindner (David Bowie's Blackstar, Meshell Ndegeocello, Lauryn Hill), Yosvany Terry Sax and arrangements (Eddie Palmieri, Steve Coleman, Ruben Blades), Jacques Schwarz-Bart saxophone and arrangement (D'Angelo's Voodoo, Erykah Badu, Roy Hargrove)."

Marquise Fair is a Miami-born soul-pop and world music artist whose transformative journey mirrors the uplifting power of his music. Raised by his grandmother in Miami's working-class neighborhoods, Marquise discovered his calling in the church gospel choir, igniting a passion that would shape his entire life.
After picking up his first guitar at 22, Marquise began crafting heartfelt songs that paired his powerful vocals with raw, soulful melodies. A serendipitous 2018 meeting with a Swiss artist led him to producer David Wehren, who brought Marquise to Switzerland to co-produce his debut album RIPPLE, mixed by Philippe Weiss (Madonna, Black Coffee). That same pivotal year also saw Marquise make his mark on American Idol.
When the pandemic disrupted touring plans following RIPPLE's 2020 release, Marquise transformed the setback into creative fuel. He deepened his songwriting craft and began recording new material that fused Miami's vibrant rhythms with the expansive sounds he'd discovered during his time abroad.
Now, with Better World on the horizon, Marquise has created something truly special - an album recorded remotely with musicians from around the globe, featuring collaborations with acclaimed artists like Jason Lindner, Yosvany Terry, and Jacques Schwarz-Bart. The project showcases his rich, genre-crossing sound while delivering his unwavering message of hope, unity, and resilience.
Through his music, Marquise Fair offers more than entertainment - he provides a soundtrack for healing, a reminder that even in our darkest moments, love and hope can light the way forward.
