The Deluxe Edition adds three other new tracks, which expand upon the band’s original Halcyon vision. “All The Time Between Us” is as intimate as stepping into one of their infamous late-night jam sessions, a song that takes a melancholy look at all things that might’ve been. Exploring how people who share big ambitions sometimes have very different ideas of how to achieve them, “Oh Love” takes us into the small hours, its whisky-soaked sway capped by raw, impassioned three-way vocals and flourishes of violin and harmonica. It’s completed by “The Rose”, which confidently spans the Kingfishr sonic spectrum from rootsy balladeering into a rich, dramatic crescendo. They combine to add a deeper layer of songwriting to the Halcyon album’s irresistible charm.

This year has seen Kingfishr consistently level up on the live front, with highlights including their first outdoor headline shows in Ireland, their debut sold-out North American tour, international festivals, and their recently completed sold-out European tour. But 2025 wasn’t long enough to match the intense public demand to see them in action, so bigger things are on the horizon in the year to come, such as a run of huge Irish summer shows, their biggestLondon gigs so far at the O2 Academy Brixton, and an Australian tour.
