Chris Williams is a Wilmington, North Carolina–based Americana/folk songwriter and multi-instrumentalist—ranked within the top 10K “US singer/songwriter” artists worldwide, according to Chartmetric. Raised near Greensboro and rooted early in bluegrass, Williams built his foundation on the banjo before expanding his palette with jazz influence, rock energy, and melodic restraint. His solo releases The Farewell Tour and To Be Determined established his reflective voice and detail-forward arrangements, and in 2023 he deepened his collaborative work with Something From Nothing, a full-length album with Steve Varney (Kid Reverie).
