Acclaimed Alt-Pop Duo Haute & Freddy Unleash “Freaks” & Video

L.A.-based alt-pop duo Haute & Freddy are back just in time for spooky season with their wildly fun and haunting new single, “Freaks> ora disponibile HERE. Co-produced with frequent collaborator Askjell (Sigrid, Aurora, iris), a Bergen, Norway-based producer, “Freaks” is paired with a video directed by Amalia Irons that captures all the theatrical flair, off-kilter charisma, and bold creative vision fans have come to love from the band. Watch HERE.
“‘Freaks’ came to life during a writing trip in Topanga with our favorite wizard, Askjell,” say Haute & Freddy. “A very determined peacock spent the day screaming for companionship outside our makeshift living room studio. We’d just rewatched Rocky Horror, and between Riff Raff’s bizarre sex appeal and the bird’s relentless mating calls, it truly felt like the only song we could write. The orange wine was flowing, we hit record – and ‘Freaks’ was born.”
Haute & Freddy are gearing up for their first-ever North American headline tour. “Haute & Freddy’s Tiny Grand Tour” features SOLD-OUT dates across the U.S., including NYC’s Bowery Ballroom (October 24) and L.A.’s Troubadour (October 28), plus festival performances at Portola (SF, Sept 21), Austin City Limits (Oct 5), and Corona Capital (Mexico City, Nov 15). See complete details HERE.
Hailed by SPIN for their “finely honed songcraft” and “alt-pop spectacle,” Haute & Freddy were recently named by ROLLING STONE as an “Artist You Need To Know” and celebrated as one of PEOPLE‘s “Talented Emerging Artists for Your Fall Playlist.”
Haute & Freddy hanno rapidamente scatenato una base di fan dedicati - conosciuta come "The Royal Court" - con il loro alt-pop spettacolare, audace e del tutto imprevedibile. Michelle Buzz and Lance Shipp’s deep love for theater, obscure synths, and underground club culture infuses every track with audacious energy.
The duo made their breathtaking debut with 2024’s “Scantily Clad,” whose video musicale earned praise from PAPER as “an outsider’s fantasy that reads like a dream sequence.” Fan favorites followed, including “Superstar anti-star,“ “Fashion Over Function,” and their breakout “Shy Girl,” which has amassed over 3M global streams. “Freaks” follows this summer’s release of “Sophie” and its accompanying visual, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Silken Weinberg (known for her work on Ethel Cain’s Preacher’s Daughter and Perverts).
