This page explains the categories of privacy rights that may apply to MusicWire users, customers, submitters, and visitors depending on location and applicable law.
Potential Rights
- Request access to certain personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Request deletion of certain personal information, subject to legal and operational exceptions
- Request restriction of certain processing or object to certain processing activities
- Request a portable copy of certain information where applicable
- Opt out of non-essential marketing communications
How to Submit a Request
Send privacy-related requests to privacy@popfiltr.com and include the relevant account, campaign, URL, or submission context. We may request additional information to verify identity or authority before acting on a request.
Limits and Exceptions
MusicWire may retain or decline to delete information where retention is required for legal compliance, recordkeeping, fraud prevention, dispute handling, platform security, payment reconciliation, or the maintenance of valid publishing records. Publicly published press release material may also require separate review from purely private account data.
Regional Notes
Rights may vary by jurisdiction. Users in some regions may have broader rights related to access, objection, deletion, correction, and complaint handling than users in other regions. MusicWire reviews requests in light of the laws that apply to the requester and the service relationship.
Appeals and Follow-Up
If you believe a privacy request was not handled appropriately, reply to the original request thread with additional context so it can be reviewed again. Where required by applicable law, users may also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority or regulator.
