Guidato da un ritmo disco-adiacente, pianoforte evangelico e lirismo sincero di Chung, "Sunshine" è una potente meditazione sulla resistenza emotiva, la guarigione e la forza silenziosa delle reti di supporto. La traccia presenta la cantante di LA Rachel Gonzalez, le cui armonie spirituali portano un elevatore celebre al coro della canzone. “This is the most groove-centred track I’ve ever made,” says Chung. “It’s inspired by the gospel music I grew up hearing my dad play, but with my indie voice and some R&B and disco sensibilities folded in. It’s a song about remembering the good, especially in difficult situations and trusting that love and community are still there, even when things feel heavy.”

Produced by D. Scobie (VanIves, Becky Sikasa), the single strikes a balance between groove and groundedness, nostalgia and forward motion. It is both a nod to Chung’s Californian upbringing and a testament to the collaborative, cross-cultural artistry he's cultivated in Scotland.

Following acclaimed performances at End of the Road Festival, SXSW and Union Chapel, collaborations with artists such as Into It. Over It., Jo Mango and The Magic Lantern, Chung continues to carve out a space that is unmistakably his own: genre-fluid, emotionally generous and grounded in a deep sense of human connection.
