Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Effective June 1, 2025
MusicWire celebrates the global, genre‑spanning nature of music. We are committed to reflecting that diversity in our workforce, coverage, and partnerships.
1. Inclusive Coverage
We actively seek press releases from underrepresented genres, cultures, and communities. Editorial guidance ensures respectful language and contextual accuracy.
2. Workforce Diversity
Recruitment, hiring, promotion, and compensation practices aim for representation across race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, and disability.
3. Partnerships & Outreach
We collaborate with organizations that champion diversity in music—indie collectives, cultural festivals, and educational nonprofits—to widen our contributor base and audience reach.
4. Accessibility
Our website follows WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We encourage alt‑text on images and offer language translation options for international stakeholders.
5. Accountability
We track internal metrics on staff diversity and content representation annually and publish a brief progress report each fiscal year.
6. Zero Tolerance for Discrimination
MusicWire prohibits harassment or discriminatory behavior in any form—internally or in client interactions. Violations result in disciplinary action, up to termination.
