About Hans Zimmer:

Hans Zimmer has scored more than 500 projects across all mediums, which combined have grossed over $28 billion at the worldwide box office. He has been honored with two Academy Awards®, three Golden Globes®, five Grammys®, an American Music Award and a Tony® Award.

Zimmer’s career highlights include “Dune: Part One,” “Top Gun: Maverick,” “No Time to Die,” “Gladiator,” “The Thin Red Line,” “As Good as It Gets,” “Rain Man,” “The Dark Knight” trilogy, “Inception,” “Thelma & Louise,” “The Last Samurai,” “12 Years a Slave,” “Blade Runner 2049” (co-scored with Benjamin Wallfisch), and “Dunkirk.” He also scored David Attenborough’s “Prehistoric Planet” and Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two,” the follow-up to his Academy Award®-winning score for “Dune: Part One.”

Zimmer most recently created the score for Steve McQueen’s “Blitz,” which premiered at the BFI London Film Festival. Starring Saoirse Ronan and Harris Dickinson, the film was released in theaters on November 1, 2024.

His concert film “Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert” was released in cinemas worldwide on March 19. It features live performances of Zimmer's most revered compositions, as well as conversations with his closest collaborators, including Billie Eilish, Sir Christopher Nolan, Denis Villeneuve, Finneas, Jerry Bruckheimer, Johnny Marr, Pharrell Williams, Tanya Lapointe, Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya.

Beyond his award-winning compositions, Zimmer is a remarkably successful touring artist. He recently concluded his first North American “Hans Zimmer Live” tour, following a second run in Europe. He has also performed in the Middle East, including two consecutive nights at Dubai’s renowned Coca-Cola Arena, as well as at Formula 1’s Singapore Grand Prix.

Dubbed “the greatest that never was,” Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) was FORMULA 1’s most promising phenom of the 1990s until an accident on the track nearly ended his career.  Thirty years later, he’s a nomadic racer-for-hire when he’s approached by his former teammate Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem), owner of a struggling FORMULA 1 team that is on the verge of collapse.  Ruben convinces Sonny to come back to FORMULA 1 for one last shot at saving the team and being the best in the world.  He’ll drive alongside Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), the team's hotshot rookie, intent on setting his own pace.  But as the engines roar, Sonny’s past catches up with him and he finds that in FORMULA 1, your teammate is your fiercest competition—and the road to redemption is not something you can travel alone.‍

F1^® THE MOVIE also stars Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and Javier Bardem, and was shot during actual Grand Prix weekends as the team competes against the titans of the sport. Kosinski directs from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger, story by Kosinski & Kruger.  The film is executive produced by Daniel Lupi.  Collaborating with Kosinski behind the scenes are his creative team, including director of photography Claudio Miranda, production designers Mark Tildesley and Ben Munro, editor Stephen Mirrione, costume designer Julian Day, casting director Lucy Bevan, and composer Hans Zimmer.
