Kevian Kraemer Marks Long Hot Summer With "Tan Lines"
Breakout indie pop artist Kevian Kraemer continues to gain momentum with today’s premiere of his infectious new single, “Tan Lines,” available now via Atlantic Records HERE. Produced by Michael Kamerman (Smallpools, Yam Haus), the track has already proven a social media favorite with his fast-growing fan following — amassing roughly 268K views on a recently posted Instagram tease.
“‘Tan Lines’ is my attempt to capture that unique feeling of falling for someone in the summer – when everything feels a little more exciting,” says Kraemer. “I wrote it with a sense of reverence for this person and the rush that comes with newfound love."
Arriving at the tail end of summer, the single is one of many highlights that have made this an undeniably exciting season for Kevian, underscored by his first-ever US headline run, The Jersey or Mars Tour. The tour – which culminates tonight with a very special hometown finale at Asbury Park, NJ’s House of Independents – has seen remarkable turnout across the country, including sold-out shows at NYC’s famed Mercury Lounge and Los Angeles, CA’s The Moroccan Lounge, as well as a number of venues upgraded due to popular demand.
The Jersey or Mars Tour celebrates this spring’s arrival of Kraemer’s most fully-realized project to date, his latest EP, Jersey or Mars. A richly cinematic project about transition, growing up, and chasing the unknown, the EP includes stirring songs such as “Rearview,” “Forever,” “Don’t You Dare,” and the exhilarating title track, the latter of which is joined by an official music video, directed by Jack Alexander Cohen.
Currently boasting over 26M worldwide streams and counting, Kraemer – who kicked off the countdown to Jersey or Mars with a special early listening event at Los Angeles, CA’s historic Al’s General Store – further marked the EP’s release with a well-received appearance on the nationally syndicated Kidd Kraddick Morning Show.

Carried by breezy waves of live instrumentation, buoyant production, and instantly infectious choruses, Kevian Kraemer’s music sounds a lot like an endless summer. His bright mix of alternative, indie, and pop alternates between the kind of excitement usually brought on by June’s final school bell, sparks of energy perfect for a July night sky, and a fleeting longing typically reserved for August’s last days. Growing up in New Jersey, music surrounded him from every angle. Taking drum lessons at Lakehouse Music Academy in Asbury Park, NJ, he recognized his calling. His arsenal expanded to include piano, saxophone, bass, and ukulele. In high school, he finally opted to write and record original tunes of his own on GarageBand. He initially gained traction with “Rug,” “Sweater,” and “Buddy.” In 2024, a snippet of “Fly” went viral on TikTok, leading to nearly 2M global streams. Last year also saw the release of Kraemer’s debut EP, Seventeen, highlighted by his breakthrough hit single, “Attention,” which quickly amassed more than 10M worldwide streams and counting. Kraemer followed the track’s success with a tender acoustic rendition, “Attention (Stripped),” paired with an official music video that showcased the unfettered emotion behind the song. Kraemer wrapped up what proved a breakthrough year by exploring the complexities of modern dating with the invigorating “Dopamine,” accompanied by an official lyric video.
