Luke Borchelt Releases Freshman Album Water Town

Maryland country artist Luke Borchelt releases his freshman album, Water Town, out today via MDDN Records/Atlantic Records. Inspired by his upbringing in Maryland, the record returns to the stories he knows best, capturing life in a waterfront town through songs about family, heartbreak, hometown memories, and the people who leave their mark on you.

The album was crafted in collaboration with Andrew Baylis (Jelly Roll), Jace Logan Jennings (94skrt), Matt McGinn (Luke Combs), and more. While the Chesapeake Bay remains at the center of the record, Water Town also finds Borchelt exploring new sounds and influences. The result is a collection of songs that blends country storytelling with the energy and rhythm of the DMV culture that shaped him, an honest reflection of where he's from and who he is today.

Borchelt adds, "Not everybody got to grow up in a water town, but I want to introduce you to crab country. We shoot it straight, in and out of season. We love our own and welcome visitors. I made this album with my friends, as I always have. From the Chesapeake Bay to every above-ground pool, crystal lake, and floated river, this one's for y'all."

The album arrives on the heels of a milestone year for the Maryland native. Borchelt recently performed the National Anthem at a Baltimore Orioles game at Camden Yards, a full-circle hometown moment that speaks to his continued growth as an artist. The same stretch saw him perform at the Washington Commanders Draft Party and collaborate with Be The People. For Borchelt, Water Town isn't just a collection of songs; it's a tribute to home.

The momentum continues through the summer. On July 1st, Borchelt headlines one of his favorite hometown bars, Seacrets, in Ocean City, MD. He then sets out on his first-ever headline run, “The Water Town Tour,” beginning August 1st in Waco, TX, with 17 dates across the United States and Canada.
