Planet Patrol Returns with a New Bilingual Version of the Electro Classic “Play at Your Own Risk”

Thump Records, distributed by Virgin Music Group, proudly announces the return of Planet Patrol with a new bilingual version of the group’s groundbreaking classic, “Play at Your Own Risk.”

Featuring a guest performance by Latino recording artist Davinci Valentin, the release celebrates one of the most influential recordings in electro-funk, freestyle, and early hip-hop history while introducing the song to a new generation of listeners.

Originally released in 1982, “Play at Your Own Risk” helped define the emerging electro movement and became a staple of dance floors, radio stations, and DJ sets around the world. Produced by Arthur Baker and co-produced by John Robie, the record played a significant role in shaping the sound of modern electronic music, hip-hop, freestyle, and dance culture.
