Rising Chilean singer, songwriter, and rap sensation AKRIILA returns today with her new single, “roger,” available now via Atlantic Records here. Pairing glitching rock and electronic production with vulnerable lyrics that touch on the hope of finding connection with someone who understands your emptiness, the track is joined by an official music video, directed by visual artist/filmmaker Chris Cadaver and photographer Julian Burgueño, streaming now on YouTube here. “roger” marks the latest single from AKRIILA’s eagerly awaited new album, lucy miró al mundo y notó que está girando, es mi segundo disco (lucy looked at the world and noticed it’s spinning), arriving everywhere later this year.
“AKRIILA’s fast-footed, introspective rap lyrics over these have cemented her as one of the most exciting artists to come out of the country [Chile] in recent years.” – DAZED
“In a commercially dominated landscape, where the industry and listeners’ attention tend to gravitate towards tried-and-tested, successful formulas, AKRIILA has chosen the path of disruption.” – ROLLING STONE EN ESPAÑOL
AKRIILA will herald the new album with a busy international live schedule, including her first-ever US headline run. The tour – which sold out immediately upon announcement, prompting several additional dates and upgraded venues – gets underway next week with a three-night stand at Brooklyn, NY’s Elsewhere on July 7-9, followed by eagerly awaited stops in Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. This fall, AKRIILA will embark on a series of dates in Europe, making stops in the UK, France, Spain, and more, as well as the Latin American leg of her “lucy tour,” visiting Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, and Argentina through early November.
Last month, AKRIILA made her breakthrough Atlantic Records debut with “suave,” a collaboration with digicore sensation Jane Remover, available everywhere now here. Praised by Rolling Stone en Español as “an ideal introduction to AKRIILA’s new era, a bilingual, chaotic, and emotionally intense hit that further expands the Chilean artist’s sonic universe,” the track sees the two genre-defying artists coming together, merging an array of influences through a haze of warped synths, intimate vocals, and indie-hyperpop textures. An official music video directed by NYC-based filmmaker/photographer Joaquin Castillo is streaming now on YouTube here.

About
AKRIILA, the artistic name of Fernanda Sepúlveda Tapia, is one of the most disruptive forces in the new Latin wave. With a voice impossible to ignore, the Santiago, Chile-based artist has quickly built an evolving body of work that blows away the boundaries between trap, alternative pop, reggaeton, and electronic music, creating an emotional universe where urban chaos and vulnerability coexist.
Released in 2023, AKRIILA’s debut mixtape, 001, distilled a fierce, luminous, and unapologetic energy into abrasive trap beats that declared both creative and emotional independence. Charged with risk and experimentation, 2024’s Epistolares pushed her sound into a territory of radical exploration, moving freely across genres from drum and bass and industrial-textured reggaeton to alternative pop and songs that brush against Chilean folk. An emotional and sonic journey that speaks of heartbreak, nostalgia, and self-discovery from an intimate place, the album was followed in 2025 by Epistolares+, an emotional expansion of the original record featuring new collaborations that broaden her musical search and confirm her role as one of the most singular voices of the new Latin generation.
Hailed by Rolling Stone en Español in their “Future 25” as “artist who challenges traditional norms and proposes new ways of making, thinking about, and creating music,” AKRIILA’s visual identity, commitment to the LGBTQ+ community, and powerful stage presence – including sold-out headline shows across Chile, Mexico, Argentina, and Spain, as well as unforgettable performances at such festivals such as Lollapalooza, Estéreo Picnic, Mad Cool, and Roskilde – have turned her into an emerging icon of Latin American urban culture. With the imminent arrival of lucy miró al mundo y notó que está girando, es mi segundo disco, AKRIILA is now bringing her shapeshifting creative voice across borders and towards as-yet-untraveled new heights of musical revolution.
